The Roller Coaster of Life :)

G'day :)

Hope you are floating along happily and enjoying the warmer weather.

The photo below is me with my mate, Gazza, in the UK. He followed me everywhere and would run through the house to find me. What a champ!

It feels like forever since I blogged last and loads has happened on my journey of life in that time. Most of it has been enjoyable, memorable, exhilarating, but then there has also been one particular time that has tested me, pulled me down and broken my heart.

Australia bound! :)

                                 G’day :)

Some big news just in...the release date for  Flame Tree Hill is February 27th! One for your diaries :)

It feels like forever since I last blogged (2 whole months to be exact!) and so much has happened in that time. As most of you know I have been over in the UK spending time with my hubby’s wonderful family and also stealing loads of time to sit by the fire and write to my heart’s content.

Wild Boys

G’day!

It’s that time of the year again when things seem to speed up, the weather gets all hot and steamy and Santa is pulling on his red suit in the ready for delivering his big bags of pressies. (Wouldn’t it be nice if we could still believe in that?) The way of the world is so magical from a child’s eyes and it’s sad that we lose some of that wonderment as we become more “mature”. I think it’s about time we tore off the shackles, reclaimed our sense of wonder and danced in the rain, ate chocolates until we felt sick and revelled in getting covered in mud instead of worrying about how the hell we are going to get the mucky stains out!

Rosalee Station's new cover and my amazing trip to Bali.

G’day!

I hope you have all had wonderful weeks full of laughter and love. I cannot believe that Christmas is only around the corner, a little over 6 weeks to be exact. Where has this year gone?
As the saying goes, time flies when you’re having fun!

I have been away in Bali for the last few weeks lapping up the sunshine, great food and amazing smiling faces of the Balinese people. What a welcoming bunch they are with nothing ever being a problem for them. The way they view life inspires me to no end.

Hardcopy Books Versus Electronic Publishing

G’day!

I hope you’ve all been enjoying life and making the most of the warmer weather. It is as dry as a desert up here in Dimbulah with bush fires raging fiercely all around us. A big thank you goes out to all the courageous fire fighters out there that are doing their best to control the blazes. What a tremendous job they are doing!

A few crazy things have happened these past few weeks but there is one incident a few nights back that has certainly topped them all! It was 10pm and I was in a deep sleep when there was an almighty crash on our tin roof followed by the sound of something quite large stumbling about.

Exciting times in the country :)

G’day!

Don't you just love the sign below!  It's on the entrance gate of the Almaden Caravan Park. So Aussie!

It is suppose to be spring up here in the North but as I sit here melting into my chair I am wondering how the heck I’m going to get through summer. It is stinking hot during the day here already! I’m sad to be saying goodbye to my fluffy slippers for another 8 months although, on the other hand, extremely excited at the prospect of being able to dig my togs out from under my pile of winter clothes.

Good reviews, bad reviews, keep on smiling :)

G’day :)

Spring has sprung and the weather up here in North Queensland is glorious. I hope you are all enjoying the weather as it warms up. Time to start pulling out the togs and thongs and dusting off the barbeques, summer is only around the corner and will be here before we know it.

Since the release ofRosalee StationI have been inundated with beautiful emails and letters from people who have thoroughly enjoyed the story, their passion for the Aussie characters and the outback setting shining through.

My life as an author.

G’day!

Below is a photo of myself and my beautiful Mum. She is such a wonderful lady and is so supportive of my writing, always making sure to be with me at my signings.
Thanks Mum!

These past two weeks have been very productive indeed with the editing of Jacaranda and the promoting of Rosalee Station. It has been loads of fun!

I have just completed the first round of editing on my second novel, Jacaranda, which will be out in May next year. It seems like forever away but there is a heck of a lot of work that goes into a book before it heads off to the printers.

Reading helps you to sleep!

G'day!

I know it's been 2 weeks since my last blog but I have a very good excuse! I've been editing my next book, Jacaranda. I will continue to keep my blog at fortnightly intervals, for now, as I am trying to devote as much time to making Jacaranda the best it can be. My readers only deserve the best!

Reading is one of the most popular relaxation activities to do of an evening. After a long day at work, looking after kids or completing a list of errands a mile long most people are wound up and an effective way to wind down is by reading.

A writers life.

G’day!

The last few weeks have been, well, an absolute whirl wind to say the least. I’m in the process of a million things at once, my wedding plans, releasing my debut novel, anticipating the edits for my 2nd novel,Jacaranda, and then also writing my 3rd, but that’s the way I seem to like it. It keeps me creative, and most importantly out of trouble!

Rosalee Station is being launched in less than 2 weeks and the nerves are beginning to surface on whether people are going to love it as much as I do.
