G’day! Hope your week has been floating along nicely and you are enjoying the Aussie winter. Isn’t it just fantastic weather for snuggling down and reading a good book? I have been taking great pleasure in the fact that I can lay out in my back yard with a good book and not get third degree burns from the sun or be carried away by a hoard of flies. It is a glorious time of the year for us Far North Queenslanders. One we relish in by spending as much time as we can outside before the summer hits and we are once again indoors with the air-conditioners humming in an attempt to stop ourselves from melting into the floorboards. |

G'day Hope you've all had a rip snorter of a week! This week I wanted to touch on a serious issue. One that is very close to my heart. I love attending rodeos, the thrill of the bull riding and the courage of the riders are major draw cards for me, along with thousands of other Australians. But, the future of the high adrenaline sport is under threat because of the concerns of animal activists.Theythink that bull riding is cruel and inhumane.I thinkthey are very misinformed and if they looked closely at how the bulls are cared for they may change their minds. |

G’day This past week has flown by in a flurry of excitement with my box of books arriving from Penguin, Chloe winning the little miss cowgirl at the Chillagoe rodeo (so very proud!), beginning preparations for my book launches, interviews and organising my wedding for the 25 of June. My goodness! No wonder I’m feeling a little bedazzled. I’m so thrilled to announce the start of the competition where one lucky entrant will win themselves a signed copy ofRosalee Station |

G’day Hope you’re all refreshed and revitalised after the public holidays of late. Not that us farmers get to enjoy them, the fruit and livestock don’t have days off! :-) I received a thrilling package in the mail this week, my very own copy of Rosalee Station to drool over. It feels out of this world to see my “baby” in print. My little girl, Chloe Rose, was quite excited about it too, as you can see in the photo. The Mount Garnet Rodeo was on last weekend so we got dressed up, packed the car and hit the dusty trail to make it there on Sunday. |
